We used Mariah for day of coordination for our wedding in June. From the beginning Mariah was super easy to work with - she was professional, kind and extremely good at managing her time! It was so helpful to have her available for some consulting prior to the wedding as well - she knows all there is to know about Big Sur and was able to recommend and connect us with any type of vendor that we asked for. A few weeks before the wedding, we were stressing out with all of the boxes left to check on our list. We had a call with Mariah and immediately felt better. She helped us organize our timeline, seating chart, shuttle schedule, rental order, decor... you name it. She was also amazing at our rehearsal - we were getting married in a redwood grove and Mariah helped us all to work our way around a steep slope and provided amazing suggestions and guidance for the ceremony. On the wedding day, we did not have a worry in the world because we knew we were in such good hands with Mariah. She just has this big smile and a very calming presence about her... you'll see There was even a slight hiccup with one of our vendors on our wedding day and we had absolutely no idea that anything even happened until a week later - she quickly found a solution and spared us the drama. I feel so grateful to have had Mariah on board planning my wedding. She is so sweet, so creative, so organized, so professional, so calm...the list goes on. She knows of all the best wedding locations, florists, make-up and hair artists, videographers, bakeries, etc in the Big Sur area. My family and I felt so supported by her calm presence on the wedding day. Even though we had to make a last minute ceremony venue switch, Mariah was on top of it and had 3 amazing new venues for us to choose from! The day ran so smoothly and I know it is because of Mariah's amazing work. As cheesy at is sound, I literally ended with the wedding of my dreams. Short story- My wife and I got engaged in June of 2016 and decided to get married in Big Sur. This turned out to be a much, much harder undertaking than we could've known- difficulty booking a venue in the first place (due to booked and difficult to deal with venues) and then long heartbreaking delays where we eventually had to reschedule our wedding due to Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge getting damaged by floods in early 2017. Fast forward 22+ months from our engagement and we FINALLY had our Big Sur wedding this last month. Although we had always had very high hopes for getting married in Big Sur (high enough hopes to make the judgment call that it was worth waiting so long for) it was better than we'd ever expected. Our Big Sur wedding simply would NOT have happened, much less been as staggeringly wonderful, if not for the team of Mariah Green (our wedding coordinator), Kendal and Anthony DeLaura (our photographers), and Jeffty Martinez (otherwise known as DJ Jeffty).
For Mariah's part- she was literally the glue that held this whole thing together. Every email, late night call, exasperated sign, stress filled text Mariah responded to with caring, grace, and confidence. She pulled us through every twist turn, change, and difficult decision. At the end of the day there is no way this, or anything we ever write or say to her, will describe how much her kindness has impacted our lives for the better.
I will say this though of her skill as a wedding planner- After our wedding after talking about everything that happened, all the moments leading up to the wedding and the actual wedding itself I asked my wife, 100% seriously- "do you think if we'd spent any more money- if we had all the money in the world and could've spent a million dollars on our wedding- that it would have been ANY better than it was?" and the answer was "no" -Justin, married on May 12, 2018
I found Mariah through a combination of Yelp and Wedding Wire. She had great reviews and now I know why! My fiancé and I got married in June in Carmel Valley. I was worried because we weren't getting married at a traditional venue- we were getting married at a house and event of that size had never been done there before.
Mariah was an absolute rockstar and SUCH a pleasure to work with. I could never have done it without her. She brought creativity, expertise and a wonderful personality. Wedding planning can be very stressful but she was such a calming voice during the processs. She had great recommendations, took all my ideas into consideration and made my dream wedding come to life. I even had guests come up to me at the wedding and tell me how amazing she was. Her attention to detail was incredible. There were so many moving pieces, I don't know how she does it! Her mom also worked with her and the two of them were such a great pair.
